These Artists Have Reused and Recycled to Make Beautiful Creations.

Filed under: Recycled Art — admin @ 3:32 pm

Designer Ryan McElhinney has come up with brilliant way to recycle old toys into something that is useful and at the same time looks pretty amazing too.

Bike Furniture had been a producer of fine, hand-crafted, contemporary / modern furniture made from recycled and reused bicycles since 1990.  These chairs and tables are incredible looking and even more incredible is that they are made from reusing old bikes and tires.

Dianne Vetromile’s work, fun, imaginative, recycling. It has all the good stuff! Decorated art furniture and a detail. Her creations are grand, fun and out of this world.

Peter Wilcox is exploring the effect of taking a familiar form, and twisting, chopping, disassembling, reassembling or stretching it into something else. His aim is to create sculpture that is, at once, eye-catching, provoking and fun to look at, for placement in public spaces !

These sculptures are made by Austrian Artist James Corbett, he creates them by using old car parts taken from scrap yards.

Made by artist Aaron Scales, the bus stop was part of a national design competition. Inspired by discarded trash at the site, Scales went local with his work, constructing the bus stop out of all local Kentucky soft drink Ale-8-One bottles. The bus stop also uses LED lighting to illuminate the glass bottles at night; solar energy is collected during the day and used for the eye-popping nighttime light display. Beautiful and functional.

Recycle A Propane Pig Into An Artful Firebowl

Filed under: Recycled Art,Recycled Products — admin @ 9:00 am

John T. Unger Artisanal Firebowls are unique works of art hand-crafted from 100% recycled steel. No two are exactly alike, as every bowl is drawn and cut free-hand. Designed to become an everlasting part of family traditions, Artisanal Firebowls will last generations in any climate with no maintenance. Most designs ship ready-to-fit for clean-burning propane or natural gas burners to minimize emissions and risk of accidental fire.

The modern and ornate designs of the Artisanal Firebowl line function as gorgeous sculptural elements even when not in use. The rich tones of the patina evoke the colors of a warm blaze. In sunlight, the designs cast intriguing shadows both inside and outside the bowl. When lit, the bowls cast flickering shadows as lively as the fire within.

RecycleChicken loves there firebowls. They are so unique and it’s even better that they are made from 100% recycled steel.

Firebowls are available for purchase at John T. Unger Studio
