Greenbelts is making cuffs, rings, guitar straps and even dog collars out of old belts and other scrap items.Â

Give an old belt a future. That’s right—Greenbelts are handmade from recycled leather belts. Many of the decorative bits are also recycled. Things like buttons, bottle caps, scrap leather and various doohickeys. Each one is hand crafted by Northwest artist and child wrangler, Shannon Ritscher. Greenbelts are creative, funky, one of a kind. Not your mega-store fare.

Items can be purchased from Greenbelts online through their store at Etsy.

This is a vintage suitcase that has the original light yellow lining inside of it, and has been upcycled!

The exterior is all original, except it has two bright red knobs added to the front, as well as four light yellow legs to allow it to stand. This bed is great because it has hinges in place that allow the top of the suitcase to stay attached to the bottom, and the hinges snap into place to keep the top in place so it won’t fall down on your furry friend.

The top of the suitcase on the interior has a long yellow pocket, which is perfect for storing your pet’s favorite toys!
The pillow case is included, and it has been sewn to fit a standard pillow. Put in one of your pillows and your pet will LOVE it because it smells like you! Or throw in some blankets or old clothes.

This pet bed is perfect for small to medium sized dogs. It closes over the pillow to become portable, just pick it up by the handle and go!
You could create your own, or purchase a ready to sleep bed at Etsy.
